Rotary Club of Pune Metro

Some interesting facts about RCPM:

First club extension: RCP Bavdhan Elite with Rtn PP Bhushan Mahajan as its GSR. Rotary Foundation: Club members have donated more than 2,17,499 USD & currently we have 61 PHF (inclusive of 21 Multiple PHFs), 6 Paul Harris Society Members (PP Abhay Sontakke, PP Avinash Joshi, PP Bhushan Mahajan, IPP Makarand Phadke, Rtn Surekha Deshpande and Ann Ashwini Joshi,) and 5 Major Donors. (PP Madhav Tilgulkar, IPP Makarand Phadke, PP Seema Deshpande, PP Bhushan Mahajan and Pioneer Medical Research Foundation, USA). Global Grant projects: 2012-13 - first Global Grant project (Rs. 21 lakh). 2017-18: Total Cost of Project was 65 lakhs. RCPM as lead club and three clubs from Dist. 3131, four clubs from USA & four districts from India, USA & Japan were involved in setting up of a 10 bedded Neo-natal ICU at Sane Guruji Hospital, Hadapsar, Pune. 2018-19:  the club initiated an ambitious Global Grant project to provide cervical cancer vaccine to 1800+ girls from lower family income groups. In this project Metro is the lead club. The total value of the project is also about Rs 65 lakh. 2019-20: Metro along with five other clubs in the district formulated a Happy School Global grant that aims at upgrading infrastructure in five rural schools. The total value of the project is Rs 65 lakh. 2020-21: Five GG projects- Phalode cluster watershed management, ICU upgradation at Sane Guruji Hospital, Covid19 relief assistance to hospitals in Pune, Pandemic relief to Detroit Michigan and Water and sanitation program for rural eastern India. Total value Rs 333 lakh
