| Minutes of Meeting | It was a very proud feeling for all of us at RCPM alongwith the team of SOFT, a Maharshi Karve Stree Shikashan Sanstha's fashion technology institute. Beacuse, Rarely you get a chance to interact with a sports celebrity of international fame. The occasion was felicitation of Champion of Champions, Ms Anjali Bhagwat, a shooter of international repute, at the hands of Dr Anil Parmar, DG District 3131, with Vocational Excellence Award from RCPune Metro. Ms. Anjali was gracious enough to accept the award, saying that all awards are equal for her since they are about love and affection and appreciation of people for her and her sport. And that's all that really matters. And the audience was just right. Apart from the District First Lady Dr Hema Parmar and members of RCPM family, office bearers and faculty of SOFT, the girl students of the institute, listened to her carefully. In her speech, she talked about her journey, how it's important to have a dream and then a chalk out and follow the path towards it, to have goal in life that should be broken up in parts so that you can mark your journey, how determination and hardwork have no substitute. Her style was very friendly, simple and down to earth. Everyone in the audience was hooked up to what she had to say. DG Dr Parmar, in his speech, congratulated RCPM for giving the award to a personality of world repute and also for perfect management of the event, taking SOFT with us.He specifically mentioned the need to collaborate with others so that the Rotary work is showcased in society. He also talked about the work of Rotary international in general and District 3131 in particular. Before the award ceremony, we all had a quick tour of the institute to understand and appreciate nuances of fashion technology. Excellence awards are meant to give a role model to listners and viewers of the event. The height achived by the awardee in their field is always an inspiration. We are really glad that we could give it to a person like Ms Anjali. I'm sure, everyone in the audience on that day, had some take home massage or other. |
