RCPM_Project_ACP (Awakened Citizen Program to secure future of India) One of the major problems confronting us today is that children seem to be growing up stressed and confused because they are not armed with the right tools to face real-life problems and make the right choices. To address this need, Ramakrishna Mission(RKM), New Delhi has developed a unique value education programme titled “The Awakened Citizen Program” The basic aims of ACP are: the students analyse various explorations, real life situations and role models, think about, discuss and discover the consequences of various choices, get armed with a decision-making framework for life. Rotary Club of Pune Metro (RCPM) has joined hands with RKM to offer their flagship program ACP to schools in Rotary District 3131. RCPM has sponsored 9 schools and joined hands with two other Rotary Clubs in Pune (RCP Pristine & RCP Laxmi Road) total 14 schools. We are proud to say that the project team is not just implementing this education program as per RKM dictat but also doing substantial value addition in the areas of ‘Base Lining’ for assessing performance improvement. We are sure that our value additions will further improve ACP value proposition and their Program enhancement strategy going forward. Multi club team is taking lot of efforts to make this change management project successful and hallmark in Rotary. The project is quite challenging but so is the team who is enthused only with challenging work. The RCPM team has set a target for RY 22-23 to reach more schools in the Rotary District and therefore the team has already addressed several Club groups of Panvel and District Literacy Committee team. In phase 1, we completed training for teachers from 14 schools and started the program in their schools, using these teachers and monitoring the progress and keeping the mometum going. Phase 2 will be next 12 months and Phase 2 will be the next 15 months
